Focus Frans Film

Focus Frans Film

Focus Frans Film (French Film Focus) is a project that combines film education and French language learning, led by the Flemish association JEF and supported by the French Embassy in the Kingdom of Belgium. Through Focus Frans Film, JEF offers teachers in the Dutch- and German-speaking communities of Belgium the opportunity to watch recent French-language films with their classes, either in cinemas or online. These films are selected for their quality and are accompanied by ready-to-use French lessons developed by the Profff association of French teachers in Flanders, the project's third partner.

My cinema class in Spain

Each month, morning screenings are organized in the cinemas of the Instituts français or in partner cinemas in Spain, allowing students to discover classic and contemporary films selected for their educational value. The educational cooperation service provides teachers with teaching materials for classroom use.

Anima(c)tion : filmed interviews of animated films' directors

The French Institute UK interviewed differents directors of animated films such as Benoît Chieux (“Sirocco and the Kingdom of Air Streams”), Alain Gagnol (“Nina and the Hedgehog's Secret” )... these videos are in French with English subtitles or in English. You can show them before or after your school screenings

An invitation to explore the richness and diversity of French-language cinema. In 2024/2025, this initiative reached more than 4,000 students across Italy, offering them a unique artistic and educational experience. Screenings will take place from October 2025 to May 2026 in Cagliari, Florence, Milan, Naples, Palermo, and Rome.

CinéSchool in the United States

Launched in 2021 by the Albertine Foundation and Villa Albertine, CinéSchool is a film education program for young audiences. This free offer aims to facilitate learning French in the United States through French-speaking cinema.
