In the near future, robots are in every household, at the service of humans, replacing them in their daily chores. 40 years old Max, unemployed, and her daughter Paula struggle to earn their living by selling stolen robots on the black market. Unfortunately, their latest ‘acquisition’, T-0, is too old to be recycled at their usual fence... A godsend for Paula, aged 10, who dreams of owning her own robot! Her mother, yet vehemently opposed to machines, agrees to keep him until another buyer can be found... When Paula’s custody is taken away from her after yet another scheme goes wrong, Max has no choice but to rely on T-0, who is ready to do anything to help.
