"Désordre" corresponds to the documentary work on the cultural milieu of St-Germain-des-Prés, which Jacques Baratier would constantly re-explore throughout his life, and which remained unseen for many years. "Désordre à vingt ans" revisits Désordre, by confronting the images of this short film dating from 1947 with shots of the same neighborhood in 1966, two decades later. It forms a bridge between two eras and underlines the various socio-cultural changes that have occurred as well as the arrival of new personalities and fashion phenomena (Marc'O's Idols, Roger Pierre's Cercle Vicieux, Arthur Adamov, Emmanuelle Riva, Claude Nougaro, etc.).
