Simon secretly loves Camille. Camille falls in love with Marc after a misunderstanding. Marc, an attractive real estate agent and Simon's boss, tries to sell an apartment to Camille's sister Odile. Odile is determined to buy the apartment despite the silent disapproval of her husband, Claude. Claude can't stand the reappearance of Nicolas after many years of absence. Nicolas, Odile's old accomplice, becomes Simon's confidant... The dialogues, partly made up of excerpts from French songs, replace the actors' voices.
