Through the paintings, drawings and sculptures of Pablo Picasso, the evocation of the drama of Guernica, a small Spanish town bombed by the German air force on 26 April 1937, killing two thousand people. Like millions of people around the world, Pablo Picasso was shocked, and transmitted his emotion in his magnificent work. The film, with a text inspired by Paul Éluard, takes up Picasso's works, including but not limited to the famous Guernica of 1937, and gives a new echo both to Picasso's work, to the historical event and to the struggle of the republicans, at a time when Francoism was at a turning point.
