Cosi fan tutte

Directed by Patrice Chéreau and filmed live from the Théâtre de L'Archevêché in Aix-en-Provence, this performance of Cosi fan Tutte is one of the lyrical events of recent years. Patrice Chéreau returns to opera and Mozart, with a brilliant cast - six singers including Ruggero Raimondi, under the baton of British conductor Daniel Harding. This is a version far from the usual Mozartian jubilation, which privileges the gravity of deception in a sober, even stripped-down, backstage theatre setting.
