La Direction d'acteur par Jean Renoir
16 mmFrench0 subtitles languages
Gisèle Braunberger - who also directed the film - takes part in an exercise in directing an actor by Jean Renoir. He presents her with a monologue from Le Fleuve, in which an angry young girl confronts her mother who has had her dog killed. The actress threw herself into it. Renoir patiently corrected her, eliminating little by little the artificial inflections of her acting and finally obtained from her a surprising naturalness and intensity.
