Irma Vep
with Nathalie Richard, Jean-Pierre Léaud, Maggie Cheung2 formatsFrench2 subtitles languages
Maggie Cheung is a star of martial arts cinema in Hong Kong. She has just arrived in Paris to play the lead role in a remake of Louis Feuillade's "Vampires" (1915, silent) that René Vidal is directing for television: she will take over the role of Musidora and will be a modern Irma Vep who will look more like the Catwoman of Batman 2. Alone in Paris, not speaking a word of French and managing with her clumsy English with interlocutors who do not master it any better, Maggie, among the mists of jet lag and through the ups and downs of her daily life during filming, will try to understand what exactly they want from her.
