Vitali Kanevski, director of "Move not, die and rise again", goes to meet young Russians by going through cellars and attics, reformatories and prisons. He films these street children of Saint Petersburg and Moscow, harmless vagrants, early smokers but also burglars and even murderers, in a truth-telling documentary that shows a terrible world of cruelty. Kanevsky accompanies the viewer on a veritable descent into hell and explores the souls of criminals, both young and old. A harsh and disturbing film that paints the portrait of a society in disarray where, although victims of this social nothingness, children cannot be absolved of moral responsibility.
