In a large, luxurious hotel, a man tries to convince a woman that they had an affair last year in Marienbad. We are in the dream of a man who loves an unattainable woman. He comes looking for her. But the dream is also a nightmare: the woman does not remember him. He tries to reach her. When he thinks he has, she has moved to another point in time, another memory: he has to convince her again.
