This is the incredible adventure of a young French winemaker who came from Languedoc and went to China to make wine. Recruited by a beginner businessman, placed under the orders of a shadowy Chinese boss, Benjamin, full of enthusiasm, arrives in a far-western setting with a mission: to produce the best wine in China. A succession of natural obstacles (hundreds of hectares of desert to be transformed into vineyards), cultural (mutual incomprehension, instrumentalization of its status as a French quality label), economic (lack of financial means) and political, make the objective impossible. This film tells the story of the difficulty of international cooperation, the economic and political stakes involved, the risk of misunderstanding, the disappointed expectations of everyone but also, the happy encounters of cultural diversity.
