Tchad 2006 : après 40 ans de guerre civile, la radio annonce l'amnistie des criminels de guerre. A quinze ans, Atim part à la recherche de celui qui a tué son père deux mois avant sa naissance. Il arrive à Ndjamena et mène son enquête pour retrouver Abdallah Nassara, l’assassin. Ce dernier, ancien criminel de guerre, est aujourd’hui rangé. C’est un homme d’une soixantaine d’années, patron d’une petite boulangerie.
