Pierre Gagnaire, based in rue Balzac in Paris, is an exceptional cook. This great chef offers us a series of improvisations where imagination and the creation of culinary works of art are expressed. We witness a real performance, full of colours, shapes and varied materials. Then, the race is on, in the dining room the customers order, in the kitchen the chef and his cooks get busy. Pierre Gagnaire is not only a cook, he is at the same time a painter, a sculptor, he works both the substance and the form of his creations. He gives a playful and artistic dimension to his dishes, creations that we appreciate with a sensitivity close to the way we look at contemporary art.
