This documentary looks back at the history of the ELLE newspaper, its creation, its history shared with the women's movement for 60 years, its constant presence in the history of fashions and trends - a film that gives the floor to personalities from the fashion world, social sciences and the history of the newspaper to understand the seriousness in the frivolity, the irony in the serious claims made by Hélène Lazareff to qualify the newspaper she created in 1945. Archival images traverse the spirit and fashions of these 60 years and are combined with interviews with fashion designers, actors in the history of women and the history of the newspaper.
