Dr. Germain, who works in a small provincial town, receives anonymous letters signed Le Corbeau accusing him of several misdeeds. However, he is not the only one to receive them. The whole town is soon threatened and the fragile balance is upset, suspicion reigns. Doctor Germain decides to investigate.
