A few teenagers, children of workers and students of a high school class, drag their boredom in the city of Lens, devastated by unemployment. They regularly meet at Caron's, the local café, to escape their parents who, hardly more fulfilled than they are, have only four words on their lips: "Pass your baccalaureate first". But they know that they are promised to unemployment, illusory love affairs and impossible escapes...
