Brest 1950. The city is undergoing reconstruction after the bombing of the war. During a demonstration demanding better wages, the situation with the police degenerates and the young worker Edouard Mazé is shot in the head. René Vautier, militant communist filmmaker, came to film the workers' situation with the collaboration, not always easy, of P’tit Zef and Désiré, Edward’s childhood friends. Once the film is finished, they improvise a traveling cinema and project the images on construction sites and pickets throughout Brittany. The film will breathe new life into the fight. Based on the comic strip by Kris and Etienne Davodeau.
