In Madagascar, on the road to Ivato, a wealthy young man strikes a young peasant with his car. The peasant later dies from his injuries, leaving his family destitute. Through this tragic incident, the author exposes the privileges enjoyed by a certain Malagasy bourgeoisie, at the expense of a hardworking and perpetually exploited population.
