Henri Dutilleux invites us to enter the heart of his creative process and to follow him in the elaboration of his latest composition for voice. First at home, the famous composer evokes his writing work and some of the recurring themes and motifs of his musical universe. He then finds himself in the company of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, meeting the musicians and the conductor at this delicate episode of the transmission of an inner work. A precious portrait, this film gives us access to the creative process, at the very moment when the music is being made. Around this work in progress appear the major influences that have influenced its creation: literature, cinema, theatre, poetry and nature.
