After a stint in prison for fraud, Serge Alexandre turned to business. Owner of a press group, a theater and the head of several investment companies, he maintains numerous relationships in the press, police and political circles, which allow him to escape, for a time, several fraud cases. Inspector Bonny, is looking for any means to confound him. A megalomaniac and paranoid, Stavisky is getting deeper into debt by the day and is heading for an inevitable fall.
