An invisible boat glides along the Seine as night gradually invades. The sound delivers the universal love letter of an Australian teenager across space and time. Aurelia is at once the name of a woman who died in the gas chambers, that of her daughter born in the camp, of a seven-year-old child who lives with an old woman where her mother was arrested by the police, that of a young woman living in Melbourne or Vancouver; it is also Duras herself who expresses the emotion felt by the losses of a child, a brother, friends of the Resistance who disappeared in the camps.
