Ulysse
16 mmFrenchEnglish
From a photograph taken in 1954, Agnès Varda explores her youth and her photographic beginnings, confronted with the events of the time. At the seaside, a goat, a child and a man. The goat was dead, the child's name was Ulysses and the man was naked. From this still image, the film explores the imaginary and the real, and through this autobiographical evocation, it offers us a reflection on the image and its influence on memory.
