On a luxury liner where she accompanies her husband, Daïnah the half-breed uses her strange charm, a troubling exoticism. One evening, on the deserted deck, she amuses herself by attracting a mechanic whom she pushes away by cruelly biting him. The next day, Daïnah disappears overboard. The investigation is stalled but the husband, guessing the truth, sets himself up as a vigilante.
