Evocation of the involvement of French railway workers in the resistance and the fight for the liberation of the country: transmission of mail, clandestine passages south of the demarcation line, sabotage and finally, after the landing, the attack of a German armored train. Started as a medium-length documentary, the film evolved during the shooting and was nourished by fictional sequences with dialogues reconstituting exemplary moments of the armed struggle and German repression.
