Sylvia, a young woman, is a prostitute in Nice. She lives a painful relationship with her daughter, Laurence. Forced to flee, they embark on a journey in search of Sylvia's first husband, from whom she had a son. Their path crosses that of Joshua, a man on bail who has chosen not to return to prison.
