Discover a selection of films supported by La Fabrique Cinéma de l'Institut français, a tailored program helping talented young directors from emerging countries increase their international exposure. Each year, this program, developed by the Institut français, in partnership with France Médias Monde and the International Organisation of La Fancophonie invites ten directors working on their first or second feature films to attend the Festival de Cannes along with their producers.
ACID is an association of film directors which, since 1992, has been promoting the cinema distribution of independent films and encouraging debates between authors and audiences. The Institut français and ACID join forces to highlight and promote internationally the quality and diversity of the emerging French film scene, offering new perspectives on our contemporary societies.
Since its creation in 2010, the Queer Palm of the Cannes Film Festival has rewarded memorable and striking films, reflecting the diversity and importance of the themes addressed by this prize. Previous winners of the Queer Palm highlight films that have helped advance the LGBTQ+ cause in the world of cinema.
