Michel, a Parisian painter, pursued by his creditors, learns that his lottery ticket has won the jackpot: 1 million. Unfortunately, his fiancée has given the jacket containing the famous ticket to a needy man. The story is a pretext for a frantic chase in which a young artist in debt tracks down his winning lottery ticket, which keeps escaping him after an unfortunate set of circumstances.
