Bastien, a young man of 28, is a chauffeur for a successful television show called Send the Handkerchiefs. He is also the assistant of Philippe Metzger, a somewhat arrogant star host, and his whipping boy. This situation allows him to approach his idol, a genius producer named Jean-Louis Broustal. One day, the latter invites him to spend a weekend in the country to work on a new concept of show that Bastien has imagined: The Proof in pictures. The latter accepts his proposal and meets his charming wife, Clara. The ambitious young man soon discovers the hidden side of his employer and his true intentions.
