Sabine, an Art History student, no longer wants to be the mistress of Simon, a painter and good father. She is tired of being confined to the role of mistress and decides to get married. With whom, she doesn't know: it is above all a question of having a beautiful wedding. It is in this frame of mind that she meets Edmond, a handsome, young and free man. Sabine is a bit hasty in proclaiming that she's going to marry him.
