Autobiographical portrait of Raymond Depardon. The "années Déclic" 1957 - 1977, or twenty years of images attached to their time. Depardon takes the floor to tell the story of twenty years of his life, from the moment he left his native farm in Villefranche-sur-Saone and went up to Paris to try to become a reporter, until 1977 when he became the photographer and filmmaker we know today. A single projector cuts out the oval of his face against a black background, while he comments on the thousands of photographs taken during his career, extracts from his films and personal documents with dazzling force.
