Anne, a script girl, cannot forget her stuntman husband, who died in an accident. Jean-Louis, a racing driver, is also a widower, his wife having committed suicide out of despair. They are both in their thirties and have a child. They meet in Deauville and fall in love. After a failed first embrace, they meet again for a new life.
