Paris, summer 1984. Manu arrives in Paris, where he shares a room with his sister Julie in a modest hotel. He meets Adrien and forms a chaste and joyful friendship with this 50-year-old doctor, who will introduce him to his environment. During a boat trip, Adrien introduces him to Sarah and Mehdi, a young married couple who have just had their first child. An unforeseen love affair and the eruption of the AIDS epidemic, still perceived in the media and the collective imagination as a modern and shameful plague, will upset the quiet arrangement of these particular destinies. Each of them will become an actor and witness of a contemporary drama, where those who will not die will perhaps emerge stronger, but in any case not unscathed.
