Léon is a shy and lonely boy who works at the bathhouse-sauna. His only companionship lies in his discussions with the local prostitutes, one of whom, Fumée, introduces him to the world of tango. Shocked by this world, Léon decides to learn to dance and to take part in competitions, in duet with Fumée, with whom he is in love.
