Jeanne lives in a suburban house with her mother Louise. The two women get along well. Louise earns her living by babysitting. Jeanne, without much conviction, is looking for a job. Louise hopes to get her daughter hired by Samuel Bleistein, a renowned lawyer she knew in her youth. But they are going to meet again because of an unheard-of lie that Jeanne is going to concoct. Inspired by a true story, this story has been one of the most publicized and politicized in recent years.
