Directors' Fornight

An independent sidebar at the Cannes Film Festival

8 films

Created in 1969 by the Société des Réalisatrices et Réalisateurs de Films (SRF), the Directors’ Fortnight is an independent sidebar at the Cannes Film Festival, which is dedicated to showcasing the most singular forms of contemporary cinema. As opposed to the official selection, the Fortnight is non-competitive, valuing new talents and narratives. Every year, films selected by the Directors' Fortnight are added to the catalogue.
